If you plan to apply for registration and licensure to practise independently in British Columbia during the spring and summer of 2024, please note the following timelines are in place due to the high volume of applications expected from graduating residents.

Schedule A and Schedule C of the ºÚÁÏÉç Bylaws have been updated, effective January 2, 2024.

The 2024 annual licence renewal process is now available by logging in to the registrant portal. The deadline for renewal is February 1, 2024, 11:59 p.m. PST.

The ºÚÁÏÉç will be closed on the following dates.

On the third annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, employees and board and committee members at the ºÚÁÏÉç are remembering and honouring the victims and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.

The Ministry of Health has asked that the ºÚÁÏÉç advance a licensing and regulatory framework for appropriately qualified physician assistants to work under the delegation and supervision of physicians in emergency department settings in BC.

The ºÚÁÏÉç of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia held its 2023 Annual General Meeting virtually on September 22, 2023.
